Virginia Lefler, author of A Gentle & Quiet Spirit and Pursuing Purity, has spoken to women around the world in her Pure Beauty events. Her workshop addresses the challenges Christian women face in a world of declining standards, and debunks the myth that a worldly woman is a strong woman while a pure woman is naïve and vulnerable. Virginia uses practical applications that illustrate how to find real strength and security in our world by embracing God's timeless standards for purity. She has found that no matter what age, women have a special love for beauty that they can use as a motivation to develop the inner beauty that lasts forever.

Even though few of us women will use the word beautiful to describe ourselves, almost all of us are devoted to looking more lovely. We do crazy things toward this goal -- exercise till it hurts, deny ourselves favorite foods, employ torturous techniques to remove unwanted hair, use chemicals to color our hair -- the list goes on and on. Whether we want to admit it or not, we do these things because beauty is empowering. We all have felt the confidence a compliment brings or the deflation of looking at an unflattering photo.
"Titus calls the older women to teach the younger women to be pure. Virginia truly has put a series of lessons, scriptures, life examples and discussion questions together in a way that helps women to understand what beauty and purity is in God's eyes and how we can grow to be that more and more. I recommend any woman, young or old, married or single to participate in learning about pure beauty." - Marci Arneson
"I had the pleasure of attending Virginia Lefler's Mother/Daughter Pure Beauty Workshop. It was wonderful. My husband and I lead a youth ministry where we have the opportunity to interact with hundreds of teenagers on a regular basis. I am well acquainted with the challenges teens face today, especially in the area of purity. It was amazing to see how completely tuned-in the girls were to Virginia's illustrations. Her personal sharing and her deep knowledge of God's word on this topic brought this subject to life in a way that was refreshing and inspiring. They all left better equipped to handle their personal struggles with confidence. The principles she shared will help women of any age. I personally feel much more aware and prepared to succeed in this area of my life as well. I highly recommend this workshop." - Beth Pocta, Mt. Prospect, IL "I have had wonderful discussions with my two teen daughters following the Mother/Daughter Pure Beauty Workshop that we attended. They both have expressed their appreciation for what they learned. I also loved the workshop and feel it was very helpful to me." - Cheryl Fink, Tinley Park, IL |
